FROM CAMPING TENT TO POP UP STORE
At Studioworks we make very diverse projects for different locations. We love the development, technology and outdoor. And we like to challenge ourselves.
Camping Bakkum, one of the biggest and stylish campings in the Netherlands, requested us to develop a new glamping concept for use in nature. The result is the panorama tent.
FOR NATURE EXPERIENCE
The basic structure of the tent is a wooden frame consisting of 14 parts. These parts, when assembled, form a very strong dome shape. A pvc cloth is stretched around this dome shape. Window openings on all sides of the tent including a large window opening in the roof ensure that nature is experienced from the tent as a true panorama.
DESIGN
The wooden frames are easily and quickly connectable; the woodwork creates a pleasant atmosphere and a beautiful line pattern. The design has been carved to the smallest detail, with special a tensioning system for the fabric and for fastening of the soil. With the silver cloth and the dome shape, the tents are a special appearance in the landscape.
POSITIVE EXPERIENCES
The first rental period of 5 months resulted in many positive reactions from both the campsite and the users. An order for 6 extra tents is currently being prepared. This series of tents will be placed in a dune landscape, and Fatboy, known from characteristic outdoor products, will take care of part of the decor. From April 2018, the tent, fully equipped for luxury campers and nature lovers, can be rented at Camping Bakkum.
POP UP AIR SPACE: FOR THE BUSINESS MARKET
The concept of this tent lends itself perfectly to Pop Up stores in the business market. For Mövenpick we have done this before, and with success. Mövenpick used our Pop up store for the introduction of new ice creams.
